El próximo mes de setiembre se renueva el cargo de Presidente de la Sociedad Internacional de Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social en el Congreso Europeo de Dublín, y hasta el momento solo hay un candidato, merecidísimo, al puesto: el prof. Tiziano Treu, miembro de la legendaria hornada de profesores de Derecho del Trabajo italianos que dieron lustre a la materia durante varias décadas, y entre los que se encontraban Gino Giugni, Federico Mancini, Gaetano Vardaro, Giorgio Ghezzi y otros, y aún se encuentran en activo Umberto Romagnoli y el mismo Tiziano Treu. La muy activa y avanzada colectividad italiana de expertos laboralistas no ha tenido suerte en elecciones anteriores, tanto de la Sociedad Internacional como de la Europea, si recordamos las candidaturas de Gino Giugni (Atenas) y la de Franco Carinci (Bologna).
